Used My Bonus Towards My Student Loans

I apologize that I haven’t posted in the past few days work has been hectic all month and I really needed to focus on getting things wrapped up. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes with getting my business all set up which I will share about in another post. I just wanted to express this feeling I got after paying another avalanche payment towards my student loans. I worked hard all year and I received my bonus check. It was a great feeling and seeing that extra money enter my account felt great. As you might already know my mindset by now I am committed to paying off my student loans and making sacrifices to do so.

Today was one of those days where I went to make my student loan payment for the month and put 10k towards the federal loan which had the highest interest rate and clicked submit. The money has now left my account and my final balances have updated.

$6,878.09 @ 6.210%

$21,727.61 @ 5.410%

$5,378.71 @ 3.4%

$5,530.65 @ 4.5%

$3,434.92 @ 5.6%

$2,813.40 @ 6.0%

Total: $45,762.77

Now that I have broken through that physiological barrier of 50k I am more determined than ever to continue to save where ever I can and use the extra month towards paying down this debt. My goal before the end of this year will hopefully be able to get this below the 20k level and have the rest paid off this time next year before my 30th birthday.
