If you were to of asked me back in July last year when I first founded my company where I would be during April of 2019. I would have told you I would of been on my way to quitting my job and focusing full time on my business. When I reflect on all of the work I have done thus far and how much is left to go I start to feel liberated. I have learned a lot over these past nine months and I continue to learn as the months go on. The month of March was a busy one. I worked a lot on the pre-launch for my product and started to gather all the resources needed to do so. My supplier had called me during the first week of March and told me they would not be able to get my product into manufacturing until August which was a bit of a let down at first but what it did was give me the time to really focus on the pre-launch and gather everything together in order to make it a successful one. Here were my business expenses for the month of May.
- Market Research& Analysis (Fiverr): $210
- Press Release (Fiverr): $157.50
- Finding Social media influencers (Fiverr): $32
- 2x Facebook ad pictures(Fiverr): $24
- Facebook ad description (Fiverr): $27
I focused on really understanding who my target audience was. I connected all of my social media platforms together and started to ramp up the awareness. I spent 2 weeks studying successful product launches and how to do them. The good news is that yesterday I received another call from my supplier and he said he had good news for me. They are able to push the manufacturing date of my product up to the second week of May! So it was good that I spent all this time preparing for the pre-launch as it looks like I will be launching sooner than expected.
One a side note while waiting for my product to be manufactured I have revamped my Amazon Merch business. I am currently making around $75 a week selling shirts which is great passive income which I am using towards paying off the rest of my student loans. I will continue to build this business up while I wait for my product to be manufactured.
Have a great April everyone!
