MY BUSINESS JOURNEY – MONTH 12

If there is anything that I have learned throughout this entire process is that time waits for no one. It was on July 18th that I legally formed my company. Next week marks the 1 year anniversary of me starting my own business and my product is only just finally about to be on its way. I guess what I am trying to say is you need to take action. It’s good to write down your goals but make sure you have actions each week that will get you to your goals. My annual business fees are starting to kick in and I will have a good understanding on how much it will be costing me annually just to keep my business active. I like to be 100% transparent with you all because I think that it is important that you should know what your getting into. It is a commitment and there is no deadlines for anything. Your the one that sets your own timeline on when things get done. Working at the same time while starting a business is tough but I believe it is the best way to get started. Even if it starts out as just a side project. So with that being said I am happy to share with you all that my product is now finally all loaded up on a container ship and will be shipping off to the port in Los Angeles next week! I am using A.N. Deringer as my freight forwarding company. They have helped me every step of the way and made things very simple for my first shipment. My supplier will be sending my goods to the port in country and then putting it on a container ship. After that it will take about 3 weeks for it to sail to the port in Los Angeles. After it arrives my freight forwarding company will be picking it up and delivering it to their warehouse. After which i’ll be able to send them my shipping labels to apply to each of the boxes and then they will be sending them off to the amazon warehouses. So I expect my product will finally be live on amazon in about 5-6 weeks from now.

My costs for this month were quite high due to the annual fees that are starting to come in as follows:

Amazon Professional Seller – $39.99

SSL website certificate – $79.99

Business State Annual Report – $585

Customs deposit – $450

Facebook ads – $30.15

Facebook ad research – $47.25

Instagram ad – $7

Photo edits – $12

So far I have paid $1,144 in annual business expenses. By the end of August I should have a total amount but I am estimating it to be around $2,000. So that’s it for this month! In the mean time while I am waiting for my product to finally be live I am building up all of the social media pages with content and pictures of my product. I will eventually share this with you all once I finally launch in August.

I used to be recommended this website by means of my cousin. I’m no longer sure whether or not this publish is written via him as nobody else know such particular about my difficulty. You are amazing! Thanks!
