After 11 long months my product is finally being manufactured! The labels of the product were first printed off during the third week of May. This had been done by a third party printing house as my manufacturer does not make the labels themselves. They had received the labels during the last week of May to make sure they fit onto the physical product samples before they could begin the manufacturing process. After a perfect fit it was now off to the races. It should be another 2 weeks before all 5,000 units are ready for shipment. The great part is my supplier has connected me with a shipping & logistics company that should be able to manage the whole process from start to end. I’ll have more details on this next month once my product is finally on the boat and sailed off to the Los Angeles port.
Business expenses for the month of May:
List of 170 beauty blogs – $17 (Fiverr)
Facebook ads – $50
So what I have started to do during Mid-may till now is building up my audience for my product. After countless months of research one of the things that I have realized that I need to do before having my product go live on amazon is to build up a community & audience. Since I have a good 2 full months before my product arrives at the amazon warehouse. I need to take the time to build up the audience that I want to launch my product to.This includes building up the Facebook group, Facebook page, Twitter account, Instagram account & Pinterest. This will be an everyday process going forward with the end goal of building it into a valuable brand. I’ll end up doing a separate post on this topic as it is very valuable to learn and do before launching a product. That’s closes off another month in the books and I look forward to sharing with you all next month that hopefully my product will be on it way to the port in Los Angeles.
