Building My Dream

Since the age of 16 I have always had some type of bill to pay. From car payments, rent, student loans, cell phone bill, utilities you name it. At 28 years old the largest bill that I have besides rent is student loan. Last year I paid over $7,000 in interest alone on my loans. I felt angry and robbed. That was hard earned money that I had worked for, gone.

This year as I work towards my goal of paying off the rest of my student loan debt I am planning on building a business. You see there hasn’t been a moment in my life where I have truly been debt free since graduation college. The $1000 a month that I pay towards my student loans I could be putting towards a company that I want to build.

Dreams can get lost. From time to time, most of us need a refresher course on building a dream. The dust of day-to-day living can bury them. New dreams are often birthed in the midst of trial. Well today is a dawn of a new day and I will make that mark in the sand. Over the years there have been hundreds of business ideas that I never acted upon. I have always used the excuse of having too pay back my student loans and that is what is holding me back.

This starts today. In the past I have researched on building a business around FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), collected all of the data, researched how to be successful and finding a niche product to build a brand around. I have contacted a supplier and have been sent the samples. Over the next couple of months I will register the company and start to build a brand around this product. I am extremely excited to get started and can’t wait to begin to share this journey with all of you.

I will blog about my progress and share it with you as I go but for now I need to just get started!
